President•There may be one President or two Co-President positions•The President(s) shall be the chief executive and administrative officer of FIMRC at UC San Diego.•The President(s) shall be a voting member of the Executive Board and of the Cabinet.•The President(s) shall preside over all meetings of the Executive Board and of the Cabinet in tandem.•The President(s) shall be the spokesperson for FIMRC at UC San Diego. •The President(s) shall be responsible for coordinating the yearly elections of the new representatives each Spring quarter.

VP Internal• Maintain electronic communication with current and

potential members through our list-serve.– Address questions & update mailing list.

• Inform members of upcoming events and volunteer opportunities via weekly e-newsletter.

• Assist VP Tech with the upkeep of the website.• Maintain relationship with headquarters.

– Responsible for keeping the chapter active by filling out paperwork required by headquarters (I.e. Semester report form)

VP ExternalRESPONSIBILITIES:• In charge of finding and maintaining local outreach

programs• Oversee CHAD and Community Service Chair Projects• Facilitate officers’ project updates

– Know all FIMRC events and who is directly involved– Find officers to help complete tasks, if necessary

SKILLS:• Be Organized!• COMMUNICATE effectively with peers

all financial affairs concerning FIMRC @ UCSD– Maintain budget for FIMRC– Submit funding requests to

Director of Abroads Program-Constant communication with applicants, headquarters, officers, members, travel agencies, etc.- Set up application process for members interested in volunteering abroad-Set up interviews for the applicants- work with the volunteers to prepare from their trips (answer their questions, help plan out activities or events)-Be able to recognize and assess and potential problems within groups - make an enjoyable experience for the volunteers

Social ChairDuties: • Plan at least one social event per

quarter; Search out opportunities to provide interactive & enjoyable activities for members

• Encourage member participation and promote member retention

• Work with Campus Outreach Chair to encourage collaborations with other orgs

• Help plan Q&A Social before elections• Assist board members with all other aspects

CHAD Co-Chair

What do the CHAD Co-Chairs do?•Work together on the planning and implementation of Children’s Health Awareness Day (CHAD)•Create a CHAD committee to help plan and divide the responsibilities of all aspects of CHAD.•Have an idea of what they want CHAD to be like and depict it to other members•Keep track of the CHAD committee with consistent meetings and make sure the event goes as planned.•Cooperate with the other officers and keep everyone informed on CHAD events

CHAD is FIMRC’s main event of the year and takes place during winter or spring quarter.

With CHAD we hope to spread awareness and promote activism in regards to Children’s health.

Publicity Chair• Publicize every major event (fundraiser, abroad trip) in the form

of: flyers, table-toppers, Facebook event, banners, emails (to HMP3, colleges, other), Student Flyers, shuttle message

• Create and make copies of all flyers and table-toppers (for PC and colleges) and ensure their distribution and posting

• Create banners to be hung in PC East for major events • Create banners for tabling, fundraisers (including a Sponsors

banner) • Book tabling for extra publicity and schedule officer shifts• Update and make copies of the FIMRC@UCSD brochure

Fundraising Chair

•Plan 2 fundraising events per quarter•Collaborate with VP Finance in regards to budget•Learning how to use TAP (Triton Activity Planner) will be helpful, but knowing how at the start of the year is not necessary

Co- Directors of Community Service • What do we do?

– Provide on-campus opportunities, including collaborations with other organizations on campus

– Plan and coordinate trips to the Los Angelitos Orphanage in Tijuana, Mexico.

– Respond to members’ inquiries of how to get involved.• What do you need?

– Creativity, time-management, organizational, leadership and great communication skills (especially electronically).

Director of Campus Relations Chair

As director of campus relations you will have to.. Maintain open and collegial relations with other FIMRC chapters at other universities. Be responsible for coordinating any inter-collegiate Chapter events. Maintain open and collegial relations with other UC San Diego registered student organizations in the fulfillment of the mission of FIMRC at UC San Diego. Assist the CHAD Chairperson in the successful execution of CHAD, and may assist other Executives and Cabinet members in fulfilling duties of office. Form committees to delegate the work required to plan and execute events and duties of office and serve as Chairperson of such committees.
