Trafficvolumesinthemostcongestedperiodoftheday,AMNBnowmeetorexceedpreopeningvolumes(Fig4). TheSBPMpeakhasaslightlyloweroverallflowinthePMcomparedtotheAMisdueinparttocongestiononthe110inthevicinityoftheI10nearthestartoftheSBExpressLanes. Currently,volumesareat96%ofpreopeninglevels(Fig5).

ExpressLanes goalofmovingmorepeople notmorevehicles. While
ridershipisreboundingfromtheholidaydownturn,theontime
performancefortheSilverLineBRThasimproved(Fig9). Themajorityof
HarborTransitway Stations,servedbytheSilverLineBRT,continueto
experienceincreaseinusageduringthereportingperiod (Fig10).

Forsolodrivers,thetollsaredynamicallypricedandupdatedevery5
minutesbasedonrealtimetrafficconditionsintheExpressLanes only. In
addition,peakperiodtollsforan11miletriponthe110ExpressLanesmust
beatleast1.5timestheMetroBusRapidTransit(BRT)fareof$2.45(Fig13).
Overall,operationsandmaintenancecostforthefacilityareapproximately
$2.9millionfortheperiod,excludingstartupcosts. Attheconclusionofthe
demonstrationperiod,
net
toll
revenues
will
be
reinvested
in
the
corridor.

FasTrak transpondersarereadilyavailableforcommutersthrough
sixdifferentchannels.Themajorityofourcustomerssignupfora
FasTrak offeredatmorethan150locationsthroughoneofthe
participatingretailoutlets Albertsons,Costco,andtheAutoClub
(Fig15).
MetrohasdevelopedafirstofitskindEquityPlan, offeringaone
time$25tollcreditforlowincomecommuters. Themonthly
accountmaintenancefeeisalsoautomaticallywaivedfor
customersenrolledintheEquityPlan. AsofFebruary28,2013,
$52,150intollcreditshavebeenissuedto2,086LACountyhouseholdsenrolledintheEquityPlan.
