Simply because we need the plaque of head boy and head girl in this specific clip; it is where we have filmed all the footage of the artist.

CharacterHe is not actually in the picture, but he is the person in which the footage fades out into, since it is the footage of the plaque, what the artist has been looking at throughout the music video

Prop

This is the plaque which has been used throughout the music video, to show that this is which the sports character is wishing on; significantly we end up placing his name on the plaque after he has one the race.
