2. Hoarding is the obsessive collection of items, alongwith the inability to get rid of them. Hoarding affects from 700,000 to 1.4 million people inthe United States. 3. There are many types of hoarding but two of the mostcommonly known are: Animal hoarding Older-Adulthood hoarding 4. Animal hoarding is when people own excessiveamounts of animals and are unable to provide propercare and living environments for them.PROBLEMS: Poor air quality Affects health of animals and humans 5. Living in a lifestyle with poor hygiene and unsafe livingconditions can lead to many health related issues.PROBLEMS: Injury from falling/falling objects Fire/Emergency Air quality Zoonotic diseases 9. According to Mayo Clinic hoarding is not yet considered a distinctdisorder. Considered a symptom of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder.) As the presentation showed there is nothing common about hoardingitems, therefore it should be its own disorder rather than symptoms ofa disorder. 10.
