Agreed content
Agreed content discussed it to focus primarily on delievering the product to full quality for M.U.A Make up Academy. This means directly looking at advertising the product.
Final Proposal / detailed outline of production
I have decided to create an advert for MUA make up academy. This advert will be created in a nature centre to show a natural range of make-up. I want to use three women models from different ethnic backgrounds showing that each and every person can look good in there own skin. I want my advert to start off with the MUA make up academy logo and then go into a fantasy type dream of the models in a wonderful world where you have them embracing nature with peaceful dreamlike music in the background. I want some shoots of them messing around and joking about with one another. Other shots I want are of the models blowing glitter into the camera. Showing them happy and messing around in a dreamlike world with the logo in a tiny box below the advert. I want the advert to be around a minute long showing the models with all different styles and different coloured make up this therefore will promote more people to buy the products.
How I am going to shoot the product
The green grass and MUA logo the camera pans up to the model and then the logo fades. Then there is a close up shot of the model with her eye makeup showing. Then the camera cuts to one model coming out from behind a tree then another model coming from behind a tree with a sparkle fairy like background. Then the girl goes up to the camera and blows glitter such as fairy dust at the camera. Then we have a dip to white effect whereby one model is having a piggy back from the other model. The into a shot looking down at one of the models focusing upon her eye make up. Next the camera pans to one of the models posing upon a bridge. Slanting as she is posing. Next there is another shot of the model inhaling the glitter. Next comes a clip of all three of the models standing together. Then two models embracing nature with their arms stretched out. Then another shot of a model posing undernearth a tepee like den. Then this time all the models blow glitter into the camera. Then last shot with a close up side on view with a single model.
Then the audience can look into the products as I display them out in front of camera showing all the products that the models have used for this shot. I want a sparkly filter over the top to show they are still in a ‘wonderland like dream’. Then a shot of the sky, with a pink balloon, falling down from the sky into a hand. Last shot of the Models walking off the shot with the logo of MUA and a slogan saying you in a different light.
As I have created a storyboard so that you can understand it visually but in greater detail.

Make sure all pre-production is completed on time and set for the shoot. This way I should be able to organise myself a lot better.Oufits have arrived just in the wrong colour which is a problem that need to be resolved with the models.
Final look into what is needed for the shoot. Making sure all models are happy with what they are doing and talking about change of outfit and how I plan to resolve this solution.

Contingency / back up plans
Due to the wheather playing up I needed a back up plan just encase I was unable to film due to rain or bad weather. I therefore hired out a green screen just encase the wheather did play up. This way I would be able to make it seem like my models were still outside. Although I have this back up plan I really do hope the weather holds up as it wouldn’t look as natural when using a green screen. Especially when my advert is all about realism and peace and nature brought mystically together.
Risk assessment
Risk assessment has been carried out on the location at Brackwick Nature centre. Obviously due to the fact that the models are in a Nature reserve we have to make sure that there is a first aid kit on us at all times.
Due to the season there is lots of stinging nettles sprouting up. There are also bees and wasps collecting pollen due stings and even bites we must ensure to bring some anti histamine. To add to this, the models have to be wearing sensible shoes due to the danger of falling or tripping on any of the grounds uneven surfaces. Also making sure no people are running on the shoot that may cause injury to themselves or others around them.
When it came down to production management it was easier for me to manage what everyone needed to be doing as I was director, planner, camera-woman. Therefore on 22nd we shot half of the advert and on the 23rd we shot the final bit to our advert. It was hard, as we had to work around school and college hours. Yet we were able to go by the storyboard and finish shooting on time.
Production management (Detail how you managed each stage)
Managing the pre-production roles
Obviously as I was the only one taking care of these roles I relied on my own responsibility for it me to crack on with any pre-production needed. Therefore I was able to be happy with my pre-production and nothing had to be changed. I also then had to have the skill of disarplining myself to work at a high standard under a deadline.
Managing the production phase
I again managed the production stage going along with my pre-production making sure it was as accurate as I could possibly get it.
Post production phase
I was very happy when editing my final project as I allowed myself for extra time. Yet I wish I had enough time to add a voiceover so therefore my advert would be a lot clearer and easier to understand exactly what it is all about.
Detail how you solved problems
Luckily enough not many problems were encountered, yet there was a few minor blips here and there with the outfits as mentioned. Obviously due to the muck up of outfits and not enough time to exchange them in time for the shoot, I had to act and think fast. Therefore looking back into my audience research I thought it would be ideal to give them plain yet trendy outfits. This way it would still appeal to my target audience. By leaving the tripod at home I had to make do with objects such as tree trunks to help keep the camera steady.
Prioritising (How and what did you prioritise during your producing)
I mainly prioritised the models and the transport for getting to the shoot. Once filming I had to prioritise shooting the scenes down at Bray-wick. The main reason why I was so worried was because the weather forecast kept changing which did not keep me at ease when organising the shoot. Although on the day it wasn’t sunny, we were fortunate to have no rain and therefore we were still able to shoot.
Furthermore it was again another rush when shooting as over two days I wanted to make sure the weather was the same throughout the shoot. I didn’t want it to look as if was taken on two different days as it would then defeat the element of the advert.
Modifications (Why did you modify your work and what was changed during post-production)
I had to change the outfits of the models due to a mix up in delivery. A few weeks before the shoot I ordered the models angel costumes but due to the way that the angel wings where black and the dress was white it made the shoot look unprofessional. Therefore we made sure that we then had a back up by using trendy outfits with colours of black and white in so that it enhanced there make up.
Again we had a few problems making sure that they were wearing the exact same outfit that matched to the last shoot.
