BOATS TODAY ARE VERY IMPORTANT. THEY ARE THE MAIN TRANSPORTATION OF A LOT OF
TRADE IN THE WORLD. BOATS ARE IMPORTANT JUST IN THE PHILIPPINES ALONE, BEING AN
ISLAND COUNTRY, A LOT OF PEOPLE HAVE BOATS AND RELY ON THEM. FOR EXAMPLE AS
TRANSPORTATION, FOOD, AND BASIC RECREATION.
THE RELATION BETWEEN PEOPLE AND BOAT IS A MERE RELATION. THIS IS WHERE THE POPLE
IS THE DOMAIN AND THE BOAT IS THE RANGE. IT IS A MERE RELATION BECAUSE THERE CAN
BE A LOT OF PEOPLE INSIDE ONE BOAT. INTERESTINGLY ENOUGH THE TITANIC WHICH USED
TO BE THE BIGGEST PASSENGER SHIP OF ITS TIME CAN ONLY CARRY ABOUT 3500 PEOPLE

BUSES ARE VERY USEFUL IN OUR EVERYDAY LIFE, THEY TRANSPORT A LARGER NUM-
BER OF PEOPLE OTHER THAN YOUR AVERAGE DAY TO DAY CARS. NOW IT’S SIMPLE
TO ASK THE QUESTION “HOW DOES THIS RELATE TO OUR TOPIC ABOUT RELATIONS
AND FUNCTIONS?” YOU SEE WE SOMETIMES DON’T QUITE UNDERSTAND OR SEE THE
MATH IN OUR DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES, FROM BUDGETING YOUR TIME TO NOT BE
LATE FOR SCHOOL TO BUDGETING THE AMOUNT OF MONEY TO SPEND FOR YOUR
SNACKS.
RELATIONS ARE A SET OF ORDERED NUMBERS THIS MEANS THAT THERE IS
A CERTAIN RELATIONS BETWEEN A BUNCH OF INFORMATION THAT IS GIVEN LIKE
HEIGHT, GRADES, AND SECTIONS OF STUDENTS. BOTH IN RELATIONS AND FUNC-

TRAINS ARE IMPORTANT TO US SINCE THEY TRANSPORT US FROM ONE PLACE TO ANOTHER. USING THE TRACKS TO LEAD US WHERE WE HAVE TO GO.
A RELATION IS A SET OF ORDERED PAIRS. DOMAIN IS A SET OF ALL X-VALUES IN A RELATION AND IS THE STARTING POINT. RANGE IS A SET OF ALL Y-VALUES IN THE RELATION AND IS THE ENDPOINT.A FUNCTION IS A SET OF ORDERED PAIRS, IN WHICH EACH X-ELEMENT IS ASSIGNED ONLY TO ON Y-ELEMENT. A FUNCTION IS A RELATION, BUT NOT ALL THE TIME THAT A RELATION CAN BE A FUNCTION.
I CAN SAY THAT THE TRAIN IS THE RANGE AND THE TRACK IS THE DOMAIN. THE TRAIN TRACK IS THE DOMAIN SINCE IT CONTROLS WHERE THE TRAIN GOES AND PASSES. THERE IS ONLY ONE TRAIN IN ONE TRACK BECAUSE IF THERE ARE 2 TRAINS IN THE SAME TRACK IT COULD END IN A BIG ACCIDENT.

An airplane is an aircraft that has a fixed wing and is powered by propellers and
