    A Teachers Prayer

I want to teach my students how to live this life

on earth, to face its struggle and its strife and

    improve their worth,

Not just the lesson in a book or how the rivers

flow but how to choose the proper path wherever

    they may go.

To understand eternal truth and know the right

from wrong and gather all the beauty of a flower

    and a song.

For if I help the world to grow in wisdom and in

grace, then I shall feel that I have won and I have

    filled my place

And so I ask your guidance God, that I may do my

part for character and confidence and happiness of

    heart.

My philosophy as an educator is to empower a conducive learning

environment suitable to the needs of every student.

Every Filipino has the right to have a quality of education and it is being

emphasized in the new curriculum of K-12 Education for All

Every student has the opportunity to receive the quality of education

regardless of what are their races, sex, or even their state in life.

Education is the only weapon that we have in order to conquer to every

    battle of our life.

    A teacher has a great contribution to attain the goals of our country;

this is through educating every students about their rights on education

and inculcating in their mind the relevance of education in their lives.

A teacher should stand as a second parent of a student who gives the

love and care to her student through giving the best advice that she can,

provide the knowledge that they need and educate them the different

values for them to be a better person someday.

As a student teacher, I have learned to commit myself in my chosen

field and put all my heart every day I faced my students. I always pray

and ask our Almighty God that at the end of the day, I want them to

learned not only what our lesson is, but also the values that I am always

emphasizing to them. In that way, I believe I am not only teaching them

but I am also serving my nation.

This is my way of helping my fellow country to attain of its goal of

Education for All and to believe that my students success is my

    masterpiece

Theyve changed me! this is the appropriate word that I can describe to me self after my journey as a

    student teacher.

For about 3 months of doing my pre-service teaching in Maligaya High School, It proves me that

Education should not take for granted or dont let it be in our least priority. The experienced that I have

open me in a different world and a real world. I have observed in my cooperating school that they are

very discipline in imposing the rules and regulation of the school. They are organized in dealing with

the students activities and they give enough enjoyment to the students to make a balance quality of

education. The school provides the necessity of the student. I have remembered when they conducted

a competition in different school, I have seen how they give their support and encouragement to the

contestant. they give a piece of advice they will make them to motivate and enjoy the competition.

During my stay in my cooperating school, they strengthen the essence of valuing people. They showed

me how they give importance to their co-teachers and because of that I salute them a lot. they might

have some uncertainties but I didnt see on them because they talk what are the problems and give the

    specific solution.

  • 14 | P a g e PRE-SERVICE TEACHING PORTFOLIO 2015

My cooperating- teacher taught me to do my work before the time. She wanted me to be organized and to keep

my time manageable. She is a type of teacher who wants to finish the task as soon as possible to avoid

crumping and to utilize time to have some sort of enjoyment.

Every teacher has a different style of teaching. I am so happy because all of the teacher in the TLE Department

are willing to share their creative strategy of delivering their lesson. They are very supportive to us. Even the

morning session, they lend their time in helping us and giving strategy on how to teach the lesson in an essay

    way.

Our head teacher and cooperating teacher were always checking our lesson plan so that we can able to correct

our mistakes. They want us to be organize and knowledgeable to the lesson so that the student will learn.

Lesson plan is very important to the entire teacher because it served as teachers bible.

My favorite day during my pre-service is Friday because it is the time wherein we can wear civilian dress. This

is the time wherein all my students were waiting my attire for that they. I remembered one of my student asked

me mam, are you washing your clothes because we usually saw your wearing that blue(OJT uniform)

uniform I just smiled to him. That is why I always prepared the best outfit during Friday.

One of my unforgettable moment that happened to me was, I decided to have a home visitation to

my advisery class, I ask one of my student if we can conduct it, and My Muslim student agreed and

    she informed her parents.

  • 15 | P a g e PRE-SERVICE TEACHING PORTFOLIO 2015

Her mother was angry to her because she thought she made something but I explained to her. Her

classmate get thei parents approval and said that they have their practiced with me which is 7 pm in

the evening. So I told them not to go. When we were in my students house, I am so nervous because

some of them lie just to go with us and I decided to stop the celebration and informed them that it was

cancelled. I am very nervous and told them if they will not follow me, I hold their cards. And that the

time they went home. When I was already in my home, I call all of them just to confirmed if they were

already safe in their house. I dont know what to do and what to feel that time. Maybe, its not as easy

as that of having a home visitation, but I am so proud to my advisery class because they respect me.

The much awaited time was the final demonstration, March 2, 2015 in the afternoon, wherein we

need to perform and give our best. All the learning from the actual classroom environment, the

advices of our teachers and lesson planning, today is the final verdict. Three panelists paneled me,

my cooperating-teacher, Head teacher and the representative from the university. I am so nervous

but thanks God, I made it!

They gave me an inspiring message after my final demonstration and this was I have very creative

and fabulous visual aids. Then, they welcome me in the world of teaching.

My journey became so unforgettable and momentous.

Quezon City, Metro Manila Philippines, this parcel of the land where MHS rose was donated by

the Biyaya Corporation represented by its General Manager, Mr. Paul Sysip to the Quezon City

government represented by Hon. Ismael A. Matay, Jr. The said parcel of land consists of 19,169

sq. meters more or less and located at the heart of Maligaya Subdivision where a two-story
