Three Tier Architecture

y Most Web Applications which use database access do this through threelayers of application logic. At the base is a Database Management

System (DBMS) and a database. At the top is the client web browserused as an interface to the application. y In three tier Web Application systems, the majority of the application

logic is in the middle tier. T he client tier presents data to and collectsdata from the user; the database tier stores and receives the data. T hemiddle tier serves most of the remaining roles that bring together theother tiers; it drives the structure and content of the data displayed tothe user, it process user input from the user as it is formed into querieson the database to read or write data. T his middle tier application logicintegrates the Web with the database management system.
