PLANNING OUT MY FRONT COVER Before creating my front cover I sketched out a

quick design of how it will look like I came up with the name ‘Cramp’ for my magazine Title of the magazine on the top Front cover image taking up most of the design's

space, also placed behind the title Ear piece used for advertisement or promotion Sell lines on both sides of the page to fill up the

empty space Main article sell line placed on the bottom of the

design Bar code adds authenticity to the design Medium close up photograph

SOFTWARE USED I used Photoshop to edit the photograph

and InDesign to add the title, sell lines, shapes etc.

I’ve taken the photographs with my classmate. On the example below is the actual photograph that I used for the cover. I got rid of the imperfections.

I had couple of difficulties with InDesign because this software was new to me.

Luckily we had a teacher in our school who helped me out

The main issues were things like adding gradients, creating shapes.

On the example you can my original picture used

IMPROVEMENTS Everyone looked at each others

work and gave feedback I gained mostly positive feedback Things that I could improve were to

add a banner, date, price of the magazine, more authentic sell lines that will link with what’s on the contents page

Make the text more visible, especially the main article title
