For our final questionnaire we asked 50 people to see what their thoughts were
on our main and ancillary tasks.
Impressions of the Police
What do you think represents the Police most?
• This question helped us as it told us what we needed to show in the documentary.
• The highest was The uniform and after interviewing a police officer, he did said that people feel like they are safe when they see the uniform but some people are also scared of the uniform.
• The lowest was 20% which was the badge. People hardly tell they have a badge and therefore it not very important to our documentary.

• This question was important as we needed to find out what people thought of the police and the work that the police are doing.
• 32% said they thought the police were not doing a good job.

• 68% said that we should show real footage of criminals, but also of them being apprehended by Police.
• It is important that we show our audience real footage so they get a feel about what the Leicester Police actually do.

• As this is a documentary about the police 70% said that it should focus on the Police more then Leicester.

• By far the most popular one was 73% who said that we should have Vox-Pops instead of actors.
• From this result and previous result, it seems that the audience want to see real footage of Leicester and Leicester nightlife.

• Our audience felt the Uniform represented the police more then the badge.

• 58% of the people said they would like to see the Clock Tower which is more then half.
• Whereas only 12% of the people said they wanted to see Liquid Envy however we have decided that we are going to have a few nightclubs on the poster as our documentary is about Nightclubs and nightlife in general.

• By far the most popular was 45/45 with 64%.
• This means we should have an equal amount of Leicester such as Liquid and the Police, for example police badges.

What I am going to take forward from
this…• The Radio trailer
should focus on providing information on the police, as this proved the more popular choice to grab people’s attention
• However, the poster should allow for both to have an equal amount of space on it
• The questionnaire has helped us prepare for shots which would help the audience identify the police easily; perhaps one where the badge enters into the shot first, with focus just on the badge
• The documentary shouldn’t just focus on the police; we must show an equal balance with Leicester itself.
