Instructions for Parents• Online learning and home schooling can be challenging for many

families, especially with small children• Many schools are having to harness all their resources on core

subjects to continue to ensure high quality education with lessability to focus on other PSHE subjects

• City Pay it Forward, a volunteer and parent-led organisation,decided to rise to the challenge by creating a standalone,parent-led financial literacy course which can be easily done athome

• Based on our award-winning materials and created inpartnership with leading educators, this six-module course willeasily enable you to work with your children to learn all thebasics of financial literacy

• Don’t worry, these are simple exercises which most childrencan read and do by themselves and, importantly, don’t requireprevious knowledge

• We would suggest that you undertake one module a week butthey can be done over any time frame you choose

• Children may enjoy being rewarded with a certificate ofaccomplishment after completing the course (which can beprinted off from our website)

• If you are interested in exploring additional financial literacytopics and educational materials, these can be found in ourprimary school curriculum at our websitewww.citypayitforward.com

About City Pay it ForwardWe are a grassroots organisation made up of volunteers,finance professionals and leading educators that have cometogether to collaborate with schools to teach children thebasics in financial literacy including savings, budgeting,borrowing and investing.

Most of us are also parents and we are all passionate about theimportance of teaching young people financial literacy life skillsand providing them with the grounding necessary to makeeducated decisions. We produce award-winning educationalmaterials which are all available free of charge.
