Thiscourseprovidesanintroductiontoaccounting,withemphasisonpreparationoffinancialstatementsforexternalparties(financialaccounting)andaccumulationofcostinformationtoaidinternalplanningandcontrol(managerialaccounting).Topicscoveredincludemeasurementofassetsandliabilities,revenuesandexpenses,theaccountingcycle,financialstatements,costterminology,costbehavior,productcosting,andrelevantcostsfordecisionmaking.ThiscourseprovidesthenecessarybackgroundforACCTNG5401. 3. AttendancePolicies
a. “Present”inclassforonlinecoursesisdeterminedbyparticipationinan“academicallyrelatedactivity,”i.e.submissionofanassignment,assessmentordiscussionforumposting.Thelastdayofattendanceisthelastdayastudentisacademicallyparticipatingintheonlinecourse.
b. Documentationthatastudenthasloggedintoanonlineclassisnotsufficientbyitselftodemonstrateacademicattendance.
4. AcademicIntegrity/Plagiarism

a. Examsandinclassquizzesmustbetakenonthedateandwithinthetimeframeindicatedbythe

7. VirtualOffice: ThisclassusesZoom;areal-time,digitallearningenvironmentindependentofaphysicalclassroom.Studentsandinstructorscanparticipateindistancelearningandcollaborationregardlessoftheirphysicallocationusingtheirowncomputer.VirtualofficehourswillbepostedonCanvasunderthevirtualofficecontentarea.
8. TitleIXPolicies:
