Fire Alarms: • OFC 6.3.2.1 – the owner shall ensure that that any person performing
annual tests or inspections or performing repairs, replacements or alterations of fire alarm systems is in compliance with the requirements of clause 1.2.1.2 (1) (a)
• OFC 1.2.1.2. (1)(a) must have successfully completed a program acceptable to the Fire Marshal.

Fire Extinguishers: • OFC 6.2.7.1. (1) Maintenance and testing of portable extinguishers shall be
in conformance with NFPA 10 – 2010
• NFPA 10 – 7.1.1. The owner or designated agent or occupant of a property in which fire extinguishers are located shall be responsible for inspection, maintenance, and recharging.
• NFPA 10 – 7.1.2.1. Persons performing maintenance and recharging of extinguishers shall be certified
• NFPA 10 – 7.1.2.1.2 Certification requires that a person pass a test administered by an organization acceptable to the AHJ.

Kitchen Suppression Systems: • OFC 6.8.2.1. (1) Except as otherwise provided in this Section, where
special fire suppression systems have been installed, inspection and maintenance shall be provided in conformance with the appropriate standards set out in sentences 6.8.1.1.(3), (4), and (5)
• NFPA 17A – 2009 7.3 Maintenance
• 7.3.1. A service technician who performs maintenance on an extinguishing system shall be trained and shall have passed a written or online test that is acceptable to the AHJ
• 7.3.2. A service technician shall possess a certification document confirming the requirements in 7.3.1. and is issued by the manufacturer or testing organization that is acceptable to the AHJ
