ALPINE FIRE SAFETY CHECKSLISTBe Prepared

Our building has a current and actionable fire evacuation plan that is tested with fire drills Staff and guests understand the fire evacuation plan and building emergency procedures The fire alarm system has been checked by a qualified technician and is functioning correctly.

This has been recorded in the log book Batteries in single point smoke alarms (if installed) have been replaced and the alarm tested Exit and emergency lighting has been tested. This is recorded in the log book Exit doors are clear of debris, snow and ice. They can be operated easily with one hand. Exit

door opens inwards signs installed Weekly checks are undertaken on fire alarm systems, exit and emergency lighting and exit doors

and thoroughfaresSmoking is only allowed in designated areas outside the buildingHeaters and other appliances

Before every winter the chimney’s and flues has been cleaned All heaters and boilers are installed, maintained and operated according to manufacturer’s
