Special National Collection for Hurricane Matthew December 4th

Early in October, Hurricane Matthew devastated significant parts of the Southeast coast of the United States and some countries in the Caribbean, especially Haiti. While many have begun to assist, we realize that the road to restoration will be long and additional support will be needed.

These funds will be used to support the efforts of Catholic Relief Services and Catholic Charities USA as they reach out to provide humanitarian aid in the form of water, food, shelter, and medical care, as well as to their long term efforts to restore communities after widespread destruction, and to the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops for the pastoral and reconstruction needs of the Church in the Caribbean and the US. Thank you for your generous support.

Living Saint Project On November 8th, the 8th grade class of St. Bernard of Clairvaux Catholic School performed a Living Saint Project as part of their Confirmation preparation. Each student researched their chosen Saint and created a presentation board depicting biographical information, symbols and pictures outlining the lives of their Saint. They also created vestments to dress like their saint and each student perform a 1-2

minute live presentation to all the other classes. The 8th grade class acquired a broader understanding of how each saint chose to live and dedicated their lives to serving God. We ask for your prayers for the 8th grade class of 2017, that the Holy Spirit guides them in their journey to know Christ and affirm their faith as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
