Hello Church Family!
As we just had Youth Sunday, and as we are gearing up for Graduate Sunday, I would like to take a minute to voice my appreciation to our youth group community. Thank you to everyone who helped in last week's church service. This includes the praise team, the ushers, the greeters, the tech folks, the food prep team, the parents that encouraged their kids to be part of the service, and the several individuals that made a point to give the students (and myself) encouraging words after each church service.
I also want to take this time and show my appreciation for the seniors in our youth group! Selfishly, I wish you all WEREN'T seniors so I'd have more time with you in our church programs, but I know it's time for you to graduate and that God will continue to do big things in and through you all. Our graduating class of 2017 is a good bunch, and based on the ones I have met and built relationships with this year I am very impressed with their Christian character. Enjoy post high school life! In Christ, Andrew Davis

SAMARITAN STORY
A lady visited FUMC last summer after losing her home. Child support and food stamps were her only income. Over the past 10 months, FUMC has provided lodging and prayers. She and her three children have also stayed with family and friends during this time. Our friend visited last week to share that she now has a place to live where rent is based on household income. She wanted to give a token of her appreciation to the church for recent assistance. How precious that she wanted to share back with FUMC and did. The Samaritan volunteers were so blessed by her!
Thank you for providing the resources to the food pantry, Samaritan fund and RoundUp programs which benefit so many!
