August 2018: Application Process Goes LIVE today

November 2018: Staff begins review of applications and ranks projects
December 2018: Governing Board receives a copy of project proposals submitted

February 2019: District staff presents preliminary evaluations and rankings of proposals to regional subcommittees
April 2019: Final evaluations and rankings presented to regional subcommittees
June 2019: Projects and budgets reviewed by Governing Board
September 2019: Final Governing Board budget approved, including CFI projects
October 2019: Contracts awarded in new fiscal year
• Regional sub-committees to meet in February and April

Funding may be provided to assist with the cost of:• Data collection• Research• Feasibility studies• Water conservation• Ecosystem restoration• Water resource investigation and plan development• Design, permitting and construction of capital projects• Septic/package plant to sewer in Priority Focus Areas of

Funding is not available for:• Operation and maintenance• Renewal and replacement expenses of infrastructure• Payment of debtor submittal• Permit violation compliance• District permits fees• Responses to required District permits• Projects that generate credits (for example wetland mitigation
credits that could be sold)• Recreation improvements (e.g. boat ramps, bike paths,
boardwalks, side-walks, pavilions) that do not provide a water resource benefit

Springs Wastewater Projects – Draft Controls:• Projects must be within identified first magnitude springs
BMAP PFAs• Must have FDEP Springs funding (50% FDEP, 25% District,
25% Cooperator)• Studies can be considered for funding (50% Cooperator, 50%

Contract Terms
In an effort to efficiently process Cooperative Funding Agreements and ensurefairness to all cooperators, the District has developed a standard template to beused for this cycle of Cooperative Funding Initiative (CFI) projects.
By submitting an application, you acknowledge you have read and understand theterms contained in the template. The District recommends you to provide thetemplate to your legal counsel for review. The District reserves the right to revise thetemplate as needed. Certain project types, such as septic to sewer projects inspringsheds and indirect potable reuse projects will require special contract termswhich are currently in development by the District.
Any questions about the contract template should be directed to the appropriateDistrict Government Affairs Regional Manager (GARM). Contact information for theGARMs is included at the bottom of the CFI web page.
