FITNESS PROGRAM FOR LIFETIME INVOLVEMENT…•There are things hat have to be given
attention in order to achieve fitness and satisfying life.
•To be fit it requires program that includes specific activities for every male and female together with age provision and other bodily conditions.
F -Frequency (how often
you exercise)
I -Intensity (exercise for
30 mins-without stopping, running)
T -Time (spend in training
or doing the task; for 30 mins., an hour, or even longer period )
Things to consider for fitness program.• Specific activities for the different component of
physical fitness: Every component has its own selection of specific
exercises. 1. Speed - constant running under time pressure. 2. Agility - developed through exercises or activities that
creates changing of directions. 3. Strength - lifting heavy object. 4. Power - movement like jumping and throwing.
Things to consider for fitness program contd. 5. Endurance - (muscle and cardio vascular muscles
<heart>) developed through long range running.
6. Flexibility - developed through movements in
walking and jogging.
*Differences in the intensity of activities for men and women.
*Age and Health condition.
Physiological Fitness/Movements:
*1- kilometer Run/Walk - It is the ability of the heart and lungs to
endure fatigue for long period of time.
*Aerobic endurance is important to develop oneself in some sports events: It can improved stamina thus making it favorable to a more active and strenuous movements.

COMMUNITY HEALTH•Community health problems: *Pollution Air pollution
-Air pollution is contamination of the indoor or outdoor environment by any chemical, physical or biological agent that modifies the natural characteristics of the atmosphere.
Community health problems contd. Water Pollution -Water pollution affects plants and
organisms living in these bodies of water. In almost all cases the effect is damaging not only to individual species and populations, but also to the natural biological communities.
Community health problems contd.Land Pollution• We can define land pollution either narrowly or
broadly. • Narrowly defined, it's another term for soil
contamination (for example, by factory chemicals or sewage and other wastewater). In this article, we'll define it more widely to include garbage and industrial waste, agricultural pesticides and fertilizers, impacts from mining and other forms of industry, the unwanted consequences of urbanization, and the systematic destruction of soil through over-intensive agriculture; we'll take land pollution to mean any kind of long-term land damage, destruction, degradation, or loss.

noise that may disrupt the activity or balance of human or animal life.
•Noise means disgust or discomfort hearing from environment.
*Improper disposal of human excreta and sewage.•Causes the spread of communicable

*Drugs- substance that affects the function of the body or mind.
•Drug abuse- deliberate use of drugs•Dangerous drugs, classification *Prohibited drugs- stimulants,
depressants, hallucinogens *Regulated drugs- drugs that can be
bought but needs professional/doctors prescription.
•Factors that influence youth to use drugs.

TERMINOLOGIES•STIMULANTS- drugs that speed up the
body’s functions activities of the central nervous system.
*Amphetamines- drugs prescribed to stimulate the nervous system; use treat certain diseases and taken as pills, tablets or capsule.
*Caffeine- found in coffee, tea, cola, cocoa and some drinks. It speed up the working of the nervous system.
*Cocaine- a white powder; inhaled or snorted through the nose, damage memory.
•Depressants- drugs that slow down the function of nervous system.
*Barbiturates- use to treat narcolepsy, high
blood pressure and epilepsy. *Narcotics- use during certain operation;
to stop pain.
*Tranquilizer- help people become calm out prolong use may cause psychological dependence.
•Hallucinogens- drugs that causes hallucination.
•LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide)- drugs that can distort perceptions and sound.
•Marijuana (Cannabis Sativa)- Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC)- main ingredients of marijuana.
•Inhalants- substances that are sniffied, inhaled in through the nose; one best example is rugby.
Dangerous Substances in Cigarettes•Nicotine - one of the strongest poison of cigarette. •Tar - a dark sticky mixture of chemicals;
stain on teeth figures contain carcinogen- a cancer-causing agent.
•Carbon Monoxide - a poisonous, colorless gas found in
cigarette smoke.
Environmental HealthA clean
environment can be obtain through full cooperation and willingness on the part of community, agencies concern and the whole of the society.
What we can do to solve environmental problems?•Avoid using products that contain harmful
chemicals.•Obey rules and standards for a safe and
clean environment.•Recyclable materials must be segregated
for income generating purposes.•Observe proper disposal of garbage.•Cooperate in your community cleanliness
campaign.
