Five questions to ask before you say I quit!
What should you do when your dream job turns into a nightmare?
Firstly, if you don’t like the job because of bullying, harassment or safety issues, then you should contact the appropriate representative in your workplace.
However, if you simply don’t like the job – it’s time to ask yourself some tough questions.
Have I don’t everything possible to improve my current work situation?
Do I have a realistic plan for getting my next job?
Do I have living expenses covered if I quit or if a new job falls through?
Do I have a reasonable explanation about why I’m quitting that I can share with future employers?
Do my friends and family think I should quit too?
Answered no to any of these questions? Then take a moment to think it through before you quit. The best time to leave a job is when you’ve made the most of your time an have new experience s to take you to your next role.
