HALF DAY TOURThis ride is for beginning to intermediate riders. You will ride both paved and dirt roads, and even a suspension bridge. This ride is what we call Nepali Flat: “a little up, a little down.” You will pass through different villages with various cultural opportunities available including, but not limited to: visiting ancient temple squares, watching locals work in their fields, and viewing the Himalayas. These are just a few of the activities that await you on this bike tour of Rural Kathmandu.

HALF DAY ADVANCED TOUR

For those wanting to ride harder and faster, but only have half a day, this is the ride for you and includes a bit of everything! We’ll start with paved roads, move to dirt roads, and onto the single track. There’s a suspension bridge to cross, rice patties to traverse, hills to climb and descend, and maybe even a set of stairs for those feeling brave. On a clear day, this ride will provide mountain views. On those days when the Himalayas aren’t out, rural Kathmandu won’t disappoint with temple squares, farmers working their fields, animal crossings, and something new around each corner.

This ride has a bit of everything for the advanced rider! From the Five14 Guest House, you will brave traffic as you traverse the city and main roads. You will cruise paved and dirt roads, bump down stairs, flow through some single track, zip across suspension bridges, and earn your downhill speed with uphill climbs. Part urban, part rural, through city, village, rice fields, jungle, and ancient temple squares, this is a great ride to see what Nepal has to offer, all in a day. You will pass historic cultural and religious sites, and depending on the season, some amazing Himalayan views. Count on rubbing shoulders with the locals who will greet you with a smile and a Namaste.
