Research project at Centro de Innovacione e servizos Tecnoloxicos da Maderira de Galica begun in 2012 and was reviewed in 2017.
The experimental campaign carried out of samples horizontally exposed to the weather.
The results can be seen below. The experimental test has shown that there is no corrosion or deterioration of Accoya® wood around the Rothoblaas screw products.
RESEARCH PROJECT
The above Rothoblaas products have been tested:
The samples have been placed separately in a glass cylinder (diameter 10 cm, height 24 cm) containing 300 ml demi-water approximately 5 cm above the water surface. The glass cylinder has been covered with a plastic bag and elastic band and was placed in an oven at 40 °C.
The samples have been visually evaluated after 21 days (3 weeks) of exposure.
An overview of the visual assessment of the Rothoblaas products after 3 weeks corrosion testing the Rothoblaas products have shown no signs of corrosion.
