HERUTEX™ fabric meets the requirements for protection against hydrocarbon flash fire as well as electric ARC-Flash HRC 2 (Hazard Risk Category 2). The fabric is inherently flame resistant as no FR- chemicals are applied making the flame resistance permanent, so it wont wash out. Constructed with a proprietary yarn, the fabrics are made from a blend of Modacrylic, Cotton and Aramid fibers, and are engineered to maximize both comfort and protection. OUR GARMENTS MEET THE FOLLOWING STANDARDS: FLASH FIRE NFPA 2112 (US Standard): Standard on flame resistant garments for protection of industrial personnel against flash fire. CGSB 155.20 (Canadian Standard): Standard on workwear for protection against hydrocarbon flash fire. ELECTRIC ARC FLASH ASTM F1506 Standard performance specification for flame resistant textile materials for wearing apparel for use by electrical workers exposed to momentary electric arc and related thermal hazards. NFPA 70E (US Standard): Standard for electrical safety in the workplace. CSA Z462 (Canadian Standard): Standard for workplace electrical safety. GlenGuard ® fabrics are inherently flame resistant. Made from a unique blend of Kermel ® aramid and modacrylic fibres that surpass government safety standards, while remaining comfortable to wear and looking untouched. GlenGuard’s lightweight fabric yields unsurpassed protection with supreme comfort, which translates into safe, productive and motivated workers. Inherently flame resistant so FR characteristics will never wash out. One of the lightest NFPA70E class 2 fabrics available on the market. Fabric feels and moves like everyday garments and withstands industrial washings compared to other brands, by more than double. Colorfastness is inherent in the fiber so it will not fade. Manufactured by Mt. Vernon Inc., Indura Ultra Soft ® is a blend of 88% cotton and 12% high tenacity nylon, that is impregnated with a flame resistant chemical, which makes Indura Ultra Soft ® guaranteed to be flame resistant for the life of the garment. Mt. Vernon Inc., est. 1919, is a world leader in flame resistant fabrics. Mt. Vernon Indura Ultra Soft ® flame resistant protective clothing fabrics are guaranteed flame resistant for the life of the garment. The advanced Indura Ultra Soft ® provides excellent protection from electric arc flash, flash fire, molten ferrous metal splash and welding exposures. This excellent protection is coupled with the soft breathable comfort of cotton and by engineering 12% high tenacity nylon in the face of the fabric, Indura Ultra Soft ® is designed to wear at least 75% longer than all cotton, which leads to an excellent value equation. Nomex ® IIIA is a blend of 93% Nomex ® IIIA, 5% Kevlar ® aramid fibres and 2% P140 that is manufactered by DuPont™. Nomex ® IIIA, a synthetic flame resistant fibre—is combined with Kevlar ® for strength and P140 for anti-static qualities. In essential performance areas such as flame resistance, thermal protection, comfort and durability, no other brand compares to Nomex ® IIIA. Its thermal technology resists the hazards associated with electric arcs and flash fires—including intense heat and flame. Nomex ® IIIA brand fiber provides valuable peace-of-mind, which enables those who wear it to focus on the job at hand and perform to their fullest potential. AMTEX™ is a blend of 88% cotton / 12% Nylon integrated with the latest technology produced by Mount Vernon. Mount Vernon Mills produces flame resistant fabrics for garments that are designed for continuous wear in occupations where exposure to garment ignition is a hazard. All Mount Vernon FR fabrics meet the requirements specified in ASTM International Standard F2302, Standard Performance Specification for Labeling Protective Clothing as Heat and Flame Resistant. These fabrics also meet the performance requirements of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Standard 70E, Electrical Safety Requirements for Employee Workplaces and ASTM Standard F1506, Flame Resistant Materials for Wearing Apparel for Use by Electrical Workers Exposed to Momentary Electric Arc and Related Thermal Hazards. Because these fabrics are flame resistant, they are acceptable under the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) Final Rule 1910.269, Final Rule on Electrical Protective Equipment.
