Front Cover

This is my front cover flat plan and from looking at XXL I decided to use the way that they out the headlines and the artist title name. And from looking at jazzwise I saw that there was a saxophone on the cover and I thought that would it would be a good touch to add to my magazine. Also when looking at the De La Soul font I decided that it would be good to use for my masthead.

Contents Page

This is my contents page plan and I used the image I saw on a front cover and I thought it would look good on my contents. I also used the Kayne West contents page for where the headlines should go as it looked sleek and elegant which reflects the genre. Like the masthead on the front cover I used the same font for where it says contents.

Double page spread

This is my double page spread plan and I have gotten my layout design from the double page spread of De La Soul as it has distinctive shapes that represent the genre. I also think that the fact that the artists will have props that represent there role in the duo will be good as it will be clear to the audience.
