Flat Stanley, welcome to our house.
We live on a farm in the country in Manitoba, Canada. We have to
drive about 8 minutes to visit the nearest town, Grunthal.
Flat Stanley had to travel about 1000 miles to get to our place. If he
had been in a car, the trip would be about 15 hours long!
We get lots of snow and it is very cold all winter.
The animals outside have thick fur, so the cold does not bother them.
Flat Stanley came to see our horse. Her name is Cheyenne and she
stays outside all winter.
Flat Stanley also helped to feed the sheep (and that is how he lost the
corner of his page). In winter, the snow covers the grass so farmers
have to feed their animals with hay and grain.
Our cat welcomed Flat Stanley to the farm. The cat likes to sleep in the
straw bales during the winter. The bales keep him warm and cozy!
The chickens would not survive in the snow, so they live in a barn.
Thank you, Suzie, for sending Flat Stanley to visit us. We had so much
fun with him.
