What is Copyright? Copyright- This law ensures that

ideas and original work cannot be stolen.

Copyright gives credit and ensures that no one else can make a profit off of someone else’s original work.

Can you use other People’s Ideas?

Yes! But you have to make sure that you give them CREDIT!

Depending on what it is you are using and what you are doing with it

Are you making money? Are you changing anything? Are you distributing it?

CITATIONS How can I give someone credit for

using their work?

A citation is a reference to another person’s work, it outlines where you can find the source of the original information.

information needed to cite

Check which format your teacher wants
