When Manfred Bogdahn developed his first retractable leash at the beginning

of the 1970‘s, he had no idea that he was laying the foundation for a very

successful German family company with his invention ...

Those who decide to own a dog must consider the necessary exercise for their

pet. But what happens when it is not possible to let him run without a leash? This

is exactly the question Manfred Bogdahn asked himself, and came up with the

surprising solution: the retractable dog leash.

With the appropriate amount of pioneering spirit, Manfred Bogdahn began the

construction of his first prototype. Not without consequences: he soon attracted

the attention of other dog owners, and was swamped with requests for this

unusual dog leash.

A business idea was born.

More than three decades later, the flexi brand is a household name for satisfied

dog owners worldwide.

Like nothing else, it stands for controlled freedom of movement and the greatest

handling comfort.

They never slacken as the inner

spring mechanism always keeps

the cord or tape under slight tensi-

on. With the help of the integrated

braking system it is possible to

always control the dog.

Furthermore the leash may be

permanently fixed at a length with

the so-called constant lock lever.

BASIC FUNCTION

Hold the leash by the handle –

the cord or tape feeds and

retracts gently without slack.

The dog then enjoys maximum

freedom of movement.

SHORT STOPYou stop the free movement of

the dog by pushing the braking

button.

LOCK – TO HEEL In order to adjust the leash at

a length, first press the brake

button down then push the

constant lock lever forward with your thumb.

By pulling back with the thumb, the constant lock

lever can be released at any time.

A little hint: The constant stop should only be

operated when the dog is supposed to walk at

heel.

Repeat the steps a and b and your dog will be close to you again.
