Two plinths can be installed on one pair of mounting brackets (on opposite sides of the pole).
The modules must be installed with front panels facing left or right. Do not install modules so that the front panels face up or down.
Installation order varies by configuration. See the figure.

TIP: You can pre-assemble the plinth with two modules on the ground and then lift the entire plinth. This is the easiest method especially in pole installation.
You can also install the casings into the plinth first and then slide the modules in the casings:
Steps1. Align the holes on the first module's bottom with the fixing studs on the plinth.
Tip : Line up the locating marks in the module to help aligning the holes with fixing studs.2. Push the module back until it stops.3. Attach the module casing to the plinth with screws.4. Connect the module grounding cable between the module front panel and the
plinth.5. Align the holes on the second module's bottom with the fixing studs on the first
module. Tip :Line up the locating marks in the module to help aligning the holes with fixing studs.
6. Push the module back until it stops.7. Attach the module casings to each other with screws and spring washers. Secure
the screws with glue.8. Connect the module grounding cable between the module front panel and the
plinth.

Plinth can be pre-assembled with two modules on the ground and then lift the entire plinth.
This is the easiest method especially in pole installation.
However, user can lift and mount the plinth first and then install the modules and connect cables, similarly as in stack installation.
Lifting a standalone BTS
Steps:
1. Attach the lifting eye bolts to the attachment points in the plinth. Lifting eye bolts (M12) are not included in the delivery. You can order the LEKA kit separately from your NSN supplier.
2. Attach the hoisting belt or the rope to the lifting eye bolts. Attach the hoisting belt or rope so that the angle between the belt or rope and the plinth is minimum 60. The distance between the plinth and the belt or rope is minimum 400 mm (15.6 in.).
3. Lift the BTS carefully to the desired installation height.4. Mount the BTS.5. Remove the lifting equipment.

Antenna cabling
12
3
Purpose: Jumper cables are connected to the antenna connectors in the front panel of the RF Module (FXxx) and the other end of the
jumper cables are carefully connected to the respective feeder cables. The number of cables used depends on the configuration.
While connecting the antenna jumper cables, consider the following guidelines: Connect the antenna cables starting from the module closest to the plinth. It is recommended to the start connecting the jumper cable from ANT (Tx/Rx) connector closest to the direction of routing.
For example, in stack installations,
If you are routing all jumper cables to the right, then the order to be followed isANT 1, ANT 3, ANT5, ANT 2, ANT 4 and ANT 6.
If you are routing all jumper cables to the left, then the order to be followed is ANT 5, ANT 3, ANT1, ANT 6, ANT 4 and ANT 2.
If you are routing 3 jumpers cable to the left and right, the order to be followed is ANT 1, ANT 2 and ANT 3 to the right and ANT 4, ANT 5 and ANT 6 to the left of the RF Module.
Antenna jumper cables can be routed out the left side, right side, or both sides. However, access to the optical and internal power cables during maintenance and expansion is easier when all antenna jumper cables are routed to the right.
To avoid cabling rework, check that the unit powers on before tying down the cables.
Follow these guidelines when selecting antenna jumper cables: 1/2" or 3/8" jumper cables are permitted One end of the jumper cable must be right angle male for connection to modules (other end depends on site configuration) 1/2" feeder cable can be connected directly to the modules if a right angle male connectoris used. The maximum allowed
feeder cable is 1/2" with right angle connectors. The length should be determined based on the Flexi Multiradio BTS installation option (for example pole, wall, cabinet, 3rd
party cabinet) and the distance of the BTS from the antenna feeder line. Antenna jumper cables must be rated IP65.

Check List Module front panel covers are installed.
PurposeModule back and front covers complete IP65 protection for core modules. Back and front covers are required for safety reasons, in all installations including indoor installations.
Note: The front panels of the modules are hot during operation. If Flexi Multiradio BTS modules are not installed in a cabinet, front covers must be used during operation for safety reasons and should only be removed temporarily for maintenance.Rotating fan blades can cause personal injury. If Flexi Multiradio BTS modules are not installed in a cabinet, back covers must be used during operation for safety reasons and should only be removed temporarily for maintenance.
Before start:When there is no risk of dropping the covers, safety catches are not needed.
To avoid cabling rework, check that the unit powers on before tying down the cables.
