JOIN US AT THE CONSTRUCTION OPEN HOUSE Wednesday, August 8, 2018 — 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. South Regional/Broward College Library—Mul-Purpose Room 7300 Pines Boulevard Pembroke Pines, FL 33024 FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION - DISTRICT FOUR INVITES YOU TO A CONSTRUCTION OPEN HOUSE Mobility Improvements Project in Pembroke Pines and Hollywood Pines Boulevard/Hollywood Boulevard from east of US 27 to Calle Largo Drive and Flamingo Road from Pembroke Road to NW 4 Street Financial Project ID Numbers: 431770-2-52-01 and 431770-2-52-02 MOBILITY IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN PEMBROKE PINES AND HOLLYWOOD The Florida Department of Transportaon (FDOT), District Four, will conduct a Construcon Open House regarding the improvements on Pines Boulevard/Hollywood Boulevard from east of US 27 to just west of I-95 and on Flamingo Road from Pembroke Road to NW 4 Street in Pembroke Pines and Hollywood. This will be conducted as an informal open house beginning at 5 p.m. Representaves will be available to provide pernent informaon and answer quesons. Construcon plans will be available for public viewing. The Broward Metropolitan Planning Organizaon (MPO) is invesng over $300 million to create safer, healthier communies in Broward. This project is one of many within a larger plan to create enhanced bicycle, pedestrian, and public transportaon access throughout the Broward region. The Broward MPO is a federally-mandated agency that is responsible for making decisions on local transportaon issues and deciding how to spend federal funds on transportaon projects within Broward. For more informaon about the Broward MPO, please visit: www.BrowardMPO.org PROJECT IMPROVEMENTS Pines Boulevard and Flamingo Road Upgrading pedestrian signals and modifying crosswalks and pedestrian ramps to meet ADA requirements Modifying drainage structures and lighng, minor widening, and resurfacing exisng roadway where associated with pedestrian improvements Extending the length of turn lanes Hollywood Boulevard Widening, resurfacing, and restriping roadway to add bike lanes in both direcons Upgrading pedestrian ramps and crosswalks Extending the length of turn lanes TRAFFIC IMPACT Access to properes will be maintained at all mes. Lane closures will occur during non-peak hours between 9 p.m. and 5:30 a.m. or 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. Lane closure informaon will be provided in the weekly traffic report distributed by FDOT. Public parcipaon is solicited without regard to race, color, naonal origin, age, sex, religion, disability, or family status. Persons who require special accommodaons under the Americans with Disabilies Act (ADA) or persons who require translaon services (free of charge) should contact Randy Rosa, P.E. or Rebecca Guerrero at least seven (7) days prior to the Construcon Open House.
