Then the band played the "Festival " overture by Roberts and the "Blue Danube ¦Wal tz. " Audrey Lawrence gave a very clever class history in Mother Gocse Thymes. Each grade and teacher from the firs t to the eighth was re- viewed in a rhythmic fashion. Raiph Held then added the humorous touch with a prophecy of his classmates in the year 1953. The B. H. S. Alumni award to the scholar with the highest He gents rating was pr esented by Miss Olive Gillette to Virgin ia Darrow . for her avera ge of 893 "~ < . Lester Garhart on behalf of Srn ith-Wever Post then gave to Ralph Reid the . American His tory Medal for his 90^ rating in that subject. H. Gar ton Lewis pre- sented the diplomas. Miss Cla ire Shand . as valed ictorian , bade fare well to the grades and th eir activities and hoped that with the help of paren ts and guidance of faculty, they would all ma ke their parent s proud of them In the future. Miss Shand had left a sick bed to attend. The Rev. Mr. Tedcas tle then gave the bene diction and the band played the stirring inarch, "On the Grand Concou rse " by Taylor.
