This new company in the windener-gy, took over the technology and theknow-how from the former turbinemanufacturer Lagerwey theWindmaster. In this way, the compa-ny has acquired a rich history ofinnovation and technological break-throughs, producing cost-effective,high yeilding wind turbines.
The DW 750 is using the highlyadvanced direct drive technology.With this technology, the gearbox isabsent, and the number of compo-nents is reduced significantly. A designed single bearing systemsupports the rotor and the genera-tor, rotating in one unit. As a result,the vulnerability has been reducedto a minimum and the maintenanceprocedures simplifed. Due to the fullvariable speed and the full powerback-to-back converter the turbineproduces electrical power of anexcellent quality.
Power Quality
Optimised grid properties allow for better utilisation of existinginfrastructure and may save gridconnection costs. The variable speed750 kW turbine is ready for presentand future requirements, due to itssophisticated converter system andadvanced control electronics. Animportant programmable function isthe power factor, which can beadjusted on demand.
