The flyers written test assesses both reading and listening. In the
previous power point presentation, I explained you the reading
section. Now, in this handout, we will go over the parts of the listening
part.
Write the answers in your notebook.
The book (Student’s book and workbook) will be used once we
return to classes. I will let you know in advance, so don’t worry.

PART 2 How is it?
PART 3 How is it?
In this part, you have to write
words or numbers in the gaps
based on the information from the
audio.
The part tests your ability to listen
for names, spelling, addresses, etc.
That’s why, it is highly
recommended to review the
numbers and the alphabet.
Before you listen to the audio,
you should read the sentences and
highlight or underline main words.
-In this exercise, you listen to a
conversation mainly led by one
speaker. You will have to match a
list of words or names with a set of
pictures. For that, you have to
write the letter in the box.
Before starting, read the
questions at the head of the task
since it sets the context of the
audio.
Listen carefully to the dialogue.
Sometimes the speakers will talk
about a picture but you don’t
have to assume that is the correct
answer.
PART 4 How is it?
Part four consists of a multiple
choice exercise. You have to
listen to five different dialogues
and tick the correct picture (A,
B or C).
Each picture has a question.
So, you have to read them all
before you listen to the audio.
The answer could be at the
beginning or end of the
dialogue.
I. Activity:
Answer the exercises below.
There is one exercise for each part
(2, 3 and 4).
Follow the tips given above.
Write the answers in your
notebook.
