Prosperity . Plusby Orsini Sanchez
For the past 3 months about 30 of us here at Unity by the Shorehae been explorin an experimentin with principles thatalin us with that infinite abunance in a course calle Pros-
perity Plus put toether by Mary Morrissey.Lets efine prosperity. I feel dennis Merritt Jones, in his book
The Art of Uncertainty put it well when he wrote: Abunance isthe ift alreay ien; we ont hae to earn it. Prosperity is theemonstration that we hae accepte the ift.
So what is the PLUS in Prosperity Plus? The Plus is the per-son you become throuh the application of the prosperity princi-ples. Is this prosperity journey all about money an ettin stuff?Or is it about hain reat health, hain reat relationships or li-in a life with iine purpose?
We learne that prosperity has to o with all of the aboe, witheerythin in our lies. That there is no separation, that it is allenery from the same sourcego.
What is MONEY oo for? I loe Mary Morrisseys answerto that question. She states: Money is only oo for you to becomfortable enouh an creatie enouh to ie your ifts antalents.
Here are the four basic principles:1. TITHINg ANd gIvINg. Tithin of your Time, Talents an Treas-
ure. Makin a practice of tithin 1/10th of all your treasure to yoursource of spiritual nourishment with loe an etachment, createsa flow in your life. giin of your time an talent creates moretime in your life, clarifies your own lifes purpose an plus youinto the flow of connection with others. Unerstan that withoutreceiin, there can be no iin. Remember when you receie, you are allowin the other to ie. giin an receiin is likebreathin, breathin in is as important as breathin out.
2. gET CLEAR ON YOUR vISIOn. get Clear on What You Want.go meets you where you are an is always askin you what youwant. Contemplate, isit an hae tea with your ision aily be-cause our thouhts are creatie. Then put on your ision like apiece of clothin an LIvE your ision.
3. FORgIvENESS. Forie. Forie. Forie yourself. Forieall others. Forie the worl.
Here are two statements you can say to yourself before ointo be each niht:
-I forgive myself completely for every mistake I have ever made.-I forgive all others, knowing that we all did the best we could
at the time.To forie is to release, to unblock an enlare your future.
I now beliee forieness een has the power to chane the past.
It also opens the oor to ratitue an abunance.4. FINdINg ANd LIvINg YOUR dIvINE PURPOSE.
Know that when you walk out on those thin branches of the tree
an reach out, gOd is there, always the win beneath your winsBut here is the eal, you must take the first step, you must come
from your ision an step out into the unknown. go cannot be
the win beneath your wins if you ont attempt to fly.

Our Environment:
Conserving Water
by Ingrid Justick
Our water resources are not unlimited. They are af-
fected every day by precipitation, population growth,
economic development and pollution. On the aver-age, each person uses 200 gallons of water per day. Half of
this water is used for landscaping and gardening.
Conserving water in the garden starts with selecting ap-
propriate plants for your climate, soil and light conditions.
Use native plants and shrubsthey require less water and
are drought and insect resistant. Mulching not only holds
water in soil, but controls weeds. Water during the coolest
part of the day, early morning is best. Use soaker hoses and
trickle irrigation systems; by delivering water directly to the
roots, they reduce the amount of water used by 10-50 per-
cent. Do not water on windy days because up to 50 percent
of the irrigation water may evaporate. Check for leaks in
hoses and sprinkler systems. Use a broom instead of a gar-
den hose to clean sidewalks and driveways.
In your kitchen: install a flow restrictor on the faucets. Do
not leave water running while washing fruits and vegetables;
use a bowl. Pre-rinsing dishes, prior to loading into dish-
washer, is an unnecessary and wasteful use of water. Wash
only full loads in dishwashers and washing machines. Avoid
disposalls, instead compost and recycle.
In your bathroom: take short showers instead of baths.
Do not run water continuously while brushing teeth, shaving
or washing. Check toilets, sinks for leaks or drips. A dripping
faucet can waste 20 gallons of water per day. Consider pur-chasing a front loading washing machine; it saves 20-30 gal-
lons of water per load. If you wash clothes in cold water, it
not only saves energy but your colors stay brighter.
Some water statistics:
- Taking a shower 7 gallons per minute
- Flushing the toilet 4.7 gallons (conventional), 1.6 gallons
(low-flow systems)
- Brushing teeth 1 gallon
- Washing clothes 30-50 gallons
- Washing dishes 16 gallons per dishwasher load
- Washing car 5.8 gallons per minute
- Lawn sprinkler 660 gallons per 2 hours
If each person in this country used just 10 gallons of water
less each year, wed save over 2 billion gallons! Please use
water wisely, every drop counts.
It is up to us to preserve and protect our worldbecause it
is the only one we have.

To Risk
by William Arthur Ward
To laugh is to risk appearing a fool,
To weep is to risk appearing sentimental.
To reach out to another is to risk involvement,To expose feelings is to risk exposing your true
self.
To place your ideas and dreams before a crowd is
to risk their loss.
To love is to risk not being loved in return,
To live is to risk dying,
To hope is to risk despair,
To try is to risk failure.
But risks must be taken because the greatest haz-
ard in life is to risk nothing.
The person who risks nothing, does nothing, hasnothing, is nothing.
He may avoid suffering and sorrow,
But he cannot learn, feel, change, grow or live.
Chained by his servitude he is a slave who has
forfeited all freedom.
Only a person who risks is free.
The pessimist complains about the wind;
The optimist expects it to change;
And the realist adjusts the sails.
Our appearance,
our wors,
our actions
are neer reater
than ourseles.
For the soul
is our house,
our eyes its winows,
an our wors
its messeners.
