DARK OBSESSIONS - PLANNINGWe used many different techniques in order to successfully plan our opening sequence and ensure the filming process run smoothly. One

example of this is that we created a Screenplay which shows the running order of which our opening sequence went in. We also made a storyboard as a visual representation of what the opening would roughly look like. This helped us see what we was aiming to create

and reduced the stress as much as possible as we felt ready to move onto filming relatively quickly.

DARK OBSESSIONS - FILMINGThis stage of the filming was simplified hugely by the

maximised planning process we carried out. We managed to get all the shots needed on 3 separate days in two different locations, Eastbury and Jo Richardson. Due to

having no dialogue or characters shown the filming was conducted and was over with quickly.

DARK OBSESSIONS - EDITINGThe editing of our opening sequence was the part of the process that proved most challenging as we had to make the opening as realistic as possible. Due to not including

any diegetic sound or visible characters our editing had to be near on perfect. We also had to merge multiple non-

diegetic soundtracks in order to build the tension needed to create an enigma for the audience.

DARK OBSESSIONS - DRAWBACKSWe only faced problems during the filming and editing stage as the planning stage was straight forward. During filming certain shots

were not as easy to achieve as others and we had to manipulate our original plan to achieve the same look but in an easier way. We also had to re-film certain shots as the camera work wasn’t as sharp as we had hoped. Editing was also difficult as some individuals in our group struggled working within a group and this left some without

work or involvement as much as others.

DARK OBSESSIONS – WHAT HAPPENS NEXTNow that we have completed our production to

the best of our ability we will now conduct further research into production companies and what the

BBFC rating on our film would be. We will also improve our blogs to maximize the grade we get

for our coursework.
