Rule #2: HEADS UP Contact

•NEVER lead any type of contact with your head!•NEVER put yourself in a position where your head is down.•NEVER show fear. Fear gets people hurt. Nervousness in normal, but being afraid is bad!

Rule #3: HEADS UP Tackling6 STEP TO A GREAT TACKLE• BREAKDOWN – basic fundamental "ready" position• BUZZ – quick, short, wide steps as you approach ball carrier• DIP – get your body low, compacting your core & leg muscles• GUNS – get arms back, opening up arm & chest muscles• SHOOT – explode toward target, leading with hips w/ head up• RIP – 2 arm uppercut to the sides of ball carrier
