A model to support young people with a disability to make successful transitions from school into further education, training and employment pathways.

Disability Transition Program

Individualised learning package that meets young people’s transition needs

Develops employability skills through Introductory Vocational Education Certificate 1 (IVEC)

Industry specific VET course in an identified area of interest

2 weeks work placement with support from a Disability Employment Network

In 2007 118 students in metropolitan Adelaide in industry areas such as: construction, horticulture, hospitality, IT, business administration, hair & beauty and retail. .
