What an interesting ride this selling season has been so far! • Remember, SCAN’s not just for seniors. You’ve enrolled 2,271 members under the age of 65 during the first three months of the year. Our youngest is just 20 years old! SCAN’s got a plan for everyone.

• Your BAE's are conducting "Success in Year-Round Selling" web-based classes. Learn about the SCAN Plans you can sell all year long.

• It’s the last month of OEP! Be a

valuable resource for your new SCAN enrollees and you’ll earn the right to ask for referrals. Best way? Follow up with them. If you can gain their trust, they’ll become your loyal

ambassadors for new business.

INSULIN-IN-THE-GAP

You’ve heard by now that SCAN is covering insulin for its members on the Balance plan who hit the coverage gap. But can you explain it easily to your client?

Here’s how we do it:

• If you hit the coverage gap for your medications, your insulin with SCAN will still be covered with an additional discount!

• Your insulin will cost $9 a month. OR save even more when you order a 90-day supply and get 3 months of insulin for $21!

As the situation with the Coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to develop, here’s the best way to enroll clients with SCAN during this challenging time.

SCAN is committed to providing you with resources and recommendations on how you can make the enrollment process as safe and efficient as possible.

SAFETY TIP: Minimize face-to-face interaction during the enrollment process:

Send a SCAN sales kit to your client’s home Before mailing be sure to write in your NPN (National Producer Number) on the form to ensure you receive credit for the sale Ask clients to call you directly when the SCAN Sales Kit is received to review the Plan information and get instructions from you on how to complete the enrollment form Ask your client to confirm your NPN is on the form, and have them mail the completed application directly to SCAN OR, if you choose, have the client mail it back to you. Then you can review for completeness and electronically enter the enrollment into SCANCubed or fax paper applications to the SCAN Enrollment Department at (866) 951-6318 or (562) 308-3626

Reminder about Telephonic Enrollments: Telephonic enrollments are only permitted by contracted Call Centers with CMS approved scripts and call recording. SCAN contracted field agents are NOT permitted to conduct enrollments over the phone and should follow steps 1-5 listed above.
