FOCUSED ON RELIABLE OPERATION

Parker HDK-MT Series high pressure dryers are designed for reliable treatment of high-pressure compressed air up to 350 bar. The patent-protected concept of HDK-MT series combines a compact, vibration-resistant and rigid design. Constructed with corrosion resistant materials, such as hard-coated aluminum valve blocks, seamless vessels and stainless steel fittings, the HDK-MT Series dryers are perfectly suited to maximize efficiency by offering leak-free operation in harsh environments.

Without proper filtration, desiccant air dryers will not operate properly. Desiccant dryers are designed to adsorb vapor from compressed air they are not designed for liquid. When liquid, especially oil, is allowed to enter the desiccant chamber, it coats the desiccant material preventing proper absorption. Oil coated desiccant cannot be regenerated, and must be replaced.

Parker has greatly impacted the desiccant dryer market. The next generation of desiccant dryers redefines the cost/benefit ratio, offering the highest quality and safety with reasonable operating costs.

Equipped with high pressure pre and after filters, the HDK-MT Series dryers reduce compressed air impurities to a minimum. The grade XP coalescing pre-filter is installed at the inlet of the dryer. It protects the dryer by providing particulate removal down to 0.01 micron, including water and oil aerosols at 99.99999% efficiency (maximum remaining oil aerosol content: 0.01 mg/m3). To protect downstream equipment from desiccant dust, a particulate after-filter is mounted at the dryer discharge. The grade ZP after-filter traps any remaining solid particles up to 1.0 micron with an efficiency of 99.9999%.

HDK-MT Series dryers come equipped with Ecotronic dew-point dependent control. Regeneration requirements are dependent on flow, pressure and temperature. The Ecotronic system allows the cost of drying compressed air to be matched exactly to your plant conditions. Ecotronic controls the drying cycle by continuously reacting to the loading which the dryer is operating under and minimizes the energy input required. As dryers rarely operate at full rated capacity all of the time (eg. during shift work and periods of low demand), this energy management system can provide considerable savings.

Features• Solid Valve Block

Generously dimensioned channels within the plate connect the main and exhaust valves as well as the pressure build-up valve to form one unit. All valves are easily and individually accessible from outside.

• Corrosion-Free Adsorber Made of stainless steel, the adsorber is effectively protected against moisture. This greatly increases the service life of the adsorber.

• Optimized Routing of Compressed Air Only four connections between inlet and outlet, i.e. the dryers are technically leakage-free.

• Torsionally-Rigid Design The solid valve block and the multifunctional distribution plate are connected with the adsorbers to form a stable, compact unit.

• High-Quality Desiccant Highly active molecular sieve guarantees stable pressure dewpoints as low as -40°F (–40°C) A spring loaded adsorption chamber in the adsorber fixes the desiccant in position and fulfils all requirements for desiccant drying, such as low abrasion and high operating reliability

• Effective Drainage System The separation zone facilitates separation of the moisture from the desiccant during regeneration

• Multitronic Microprocessor Control System Easily accessible enclosure. Adjustable pressure dewpoint option.

• Regeneration Unit• Passive presetting of the purge air • Adaption via multitronic controller

• Connections Only 4 connections and no internal piping, allowing for easy access to all components. Leak-free design with high reliability.

• Functional Display with LEDs on the covering for:• power• drying• regeneration• economy cycle• continuous status display

FOCUSED ON PERFECT CONTROLThe standard multitronic controller offers seamless control, even in the toughest of operating conditions, and feature a continuous display status that synchronizes with the compressor. The multitronic system offers:

• A comfortable microprocessor controller for all Parker high - pressure dryer systems.• Permits flexible adjustment of the cycle times.• LEDs on the front panel for individual functions such as:

• operation• drying • regeneration

• Selector switch I-0-2 for fixed cycles or variable cycles as synchronization control with the compressor.

Available options:

• Direct pressure dewpoint measurement including digital display.• 4-20mA output.• The possibility to set the desired dewpoint as low as -40°F (-40°C)

• Separately activated main valve• Separately activated exhaust valve• Stainless steel vessel• Initial filling of adsorbent (molecular sieve)• Non-return valve block with pressure redution
