General Considerations Before Installation
Ceilings –required
Distance from Kiosk to Projector
Please ensure the maximum distance between the kiosk and the projector is no more than 50 feet.
Ceilings
If your facility contains plenum-rated ceilings our system requires that extra conduit be installed in the ceiling for our low-voltage wiring.
If conduit is installed in your ceiling, please verify that the diameter of the conduit measures a minimum of 1.5”.
Internet Connection
A “live”, hardwired, internet connection is required at the time of installation.
Network Configurations
Modem/router must be provisioned to allow the FOD system to access www.fitnessondemand247.com.
Internet, Modem, and Router login information must be accessible during installation.
Correctly configuring these devices may require support from your internet service provider and/or your IT/network support team. Please ensure that ‘Network Configurations’ have been addressed prior to installation to avoid any unnecessary delays.
Power
For new facility installations, power must be “live” at the time the installer arrives.
Network –required
Required Ancillary Equipment
The current Fitness On Demand class roster includes classes that utilize the following equipment: cycles, resistance bands, light dumbbells, chairs for senior classes, stability balls, bosu-balls, and yoga mats.
Recommended Maintenance
It is recommended that you restart your Fitness On Demand system once per week. Rebooting the system allows the computer to clear its cache memory and will prevent unwanted peripheral errors.
System Related –required
Exterior Light
Mount the screen perpendicular to any exterior light sources. It is important to ensure that there are not direct paths of ambient or incandescent light to the screen.
Mechanical blinds can be a professional and affordable solution to providing an open well lit environment for certain classes, while maintaining an intimate setting for others.
Dual Lighting
Where appropriate, it is recommended that you install dual light switches in your fitness studio. Ideally, one switch would control the front panel of lights and the second switch would control the rear panel.
Lighting –optional
