Without compromising, Bunzl recognises companies want to be able to participate in positive initiatives around sustainability and the environment. We see our role as providing our customers with environmental product solutions to help them make informed choices without bias towards any specific solution. This might be through the provision of product manufactured from renewable, recycled and/or biodegradable materials.

The finished product is predominantly manufactured from a naturally occurring raw material that will be replenished through normal ecological cycles e.g. paper, wood or corn.

The product is disposable via local council, household and community recycling programs. It is easily reconstituted into a variety of practical applications. E.g. PET plastic or cardboard paper.

Products that have been specifically designed to have a lower impact on the environment, usually by using less energy with the added benefit of lower running costs.

SUGARCANE RANGE NAPKINSManufactured to include sugarcane pulp (bagasse). Bagasse is the fibrous residue left over after the sugarcane has been crushed and the sugar extracted. The finished product is soft and has strong water absorbency; and more importantly: 100% biodegradable! Sugarcane bagasse compares favourably with common “tree-made” paper. Made from the residues of an annual agricultural crop by-product, it helps to reduce the commercialisation of our forests.
