Birth Anniversary of Ramkrishnadev

Visit to Blind People’s Association

Every good act is a charity. No act of charity, no matter how small, is ever wasted. On the 182nd Birth Anniversary of Shree Ramkrishnadev, the trustee of Ramkrishna Seva Mandir, Mr. Dilip Shah had arranged dinner for the children of Bachhpan NGO.

300+ children from various

Things needed to achieve any goal are interest and dedication to achieve that goal. On March 25, 2017, Bachhpan NGO (Gulbai Tekra- Ahemdabad Section) arranged a visit for students at Blind People‘s Association at Ahmedabad. We got inspired by watching

Paathshalas of Bachhpan gathered at Ramkrishna Paathshala to enjoy the dinner. Bachhpan NGO appreciates Mr. Dilip Shah for his noble deed and requests all to help the destitute children in any way possible, and make them cheerful again.

Child Marriage Awareness Skit

We also visited a Dark room with a guide where a normal person can feel the blindness. Surprisingly, this guide was a blind person who took the entire tour in the dark room comfortably.

Drama is the best way to communicate any message. A skit was organized by volunteers on the topic of BAL VIVAH at Bakrol Village. Parents along with their children were explained about the effects and problems arising due to Bal Vivah. We saw an impact on the parents related to these type of situations based on the feedback received. Our main aim was to explain their responsibilities

towards these social activities and save their children from early marriage. We are hoping for a positive change in the parents, so these social problems can be eliminated.

that blind people were doing so many activity like Painting, Physiotherapy, Carpentry, Art & Craft work, Painting & Embroidery even though they can’t see this beautiful world.

advantages and disadvantages. They were taught about traffic rules and how to stay protected from the intense heat of summer. They had created innovative shapes and toys from clay. They were made aware of yoga and meditation. Students of Aadhaar were gathered, taught yoga and how to introduce themselves. They were also taught paper origami, craft, diary making and how to plan summer vacation. Lastly, games which required mental strength were played by the students.

Extra-curricular activities are an important part of a student’s life. To enrich their minds with knowledge apart from academics, Bachhpan organizes Summer activities every year.

School‘દુિનયાના બધા િનરાધારોનો આધાર હું કેવી રીતે બની શકું?પરંતુ શું હું એક

નાનકડી શરૂઆત પણ ન કરી શકું?’ Bachhpan NGO which started from this small thought is now helping many children in education. This ‘helping hand’ of Bachhpan is supporting many families financially, too. The work of this NGO is appreciable and is a blessing for those kids who are deprived of education. This NGO is working continuously in the direction of making high living standard of kids. The work of your NGO is really appreciable in this era.

Shala, Bakrol‘આકાશમાં ક્યાંય કેડી નથી, એનો અર્થ એવો નથી કે કોઈએ સફર ખેડી નથી.’

BACHHPAN does this noble work for poor children of slum area not only by education but also by

the creative activities. Bachhpan is run by volunteers who are students themselves and they are serving the society. They are giving their time for teaching good values and habits to the children instead of wasting it in useless activities. I feel proud on Bachhpan volunteers. Well done! Keep it up! Best of luck and also thanks to whole Bachhpan team on behalf of my school girls!

Colonel S. N. Sen, Officer Commanding, 2 Gujarat CTC NCC, Vallabh-Vidhyanagar I came in contact with ‘Bachhpan’

through few volunteers who are students of local engineering college of Vallabh-Vidhyanagar. I became overwhelmed with the dedication and sincerity of all the volunteers who have been contributing to a very noble cause of educating the poor children of our society. Such act by college students is highly commendable and appreciating. After observing their sacrifices, I do remember golden words of Swami Vivekananda for the youth of great nation: ‘Arise, awake and stop not till the Goal is reached.’ I wish Bachhpan family good luck and all the success ahead.
