Mgreat Rajput ruler, Rana Pratap of Mewar, son of Maharana Udai Singh.

Born in 1540, he was a great patriot and warrior who had the courage

to fight the powerful Mughal forces under emperor Akbar. He continued to fight

against the Mughals till his last breath and never compromised with his dignity and

self-respect. He along with his family shared the agony and hardships of the masses

without the least sense of exploitation. His life is an example of living with honour

and empathy.
