Although fall is upon us, Ocean City is still full of excitement, with numerous events and activities such as Endless Summer Cruisin, Drive in Disguise, Shore Craft Beer Fest at Sunset Park, OCtoberfest in OC which includes the Howl -O- Ween Pet Parade and Beach Maze, Oktoberfest in Berlin and the Halloween Spook Out Party at Northside Park- there is so much for families to do in October! Please also make plans to join us for the return of Harbor Day at the Docks; Saturday October 19th from 10am-5pm along the commercial harbor in West OC. Worcester County Parks and Recreation has brought this event back and the chamber has been happy to help- for more information visit www.harbordayoc.com. Finally, huge congratulations to the town for the successful Sunfest- with record braking attendance this year!
We will also be having a new event to honor the Distinguished Women of Ocean City on October 23rd at the Doubletree ocean front Penthouse. This event, sponsored by PNC Bank and catered by Marlin Moon will pay homage to some of our towns most outstanding women leaders. A tremendous thank you to everyone who made our Annual Awards Celebration such a success, especially our award sponsors (Deeley Insurance Group, D3, Atlantic General Hospital, The Community Foundation, PRMC, & The Harrison Group), TEAM Productions for providing the A/V, Wockenfuss Candies for the favors, Dana Marie Photography and Next Wave Photography for capturing the event, and Worcester County Economic Development for sponsoring the entertainment. The Chamber is also beginning to plan for our annual trip to the Great American Outdoor Show in Harrisburg in partnership with Scott Lenox with Fish In OC. This is a 10 day consumer show in February and we will be stuffing 2500 bags to hand out, along with the 2020 Vacation Guide. Be sure to look for Legislative Alerts as well over the next couple of months– we are collecting member input regarding a number of bills that could impact your business.
