Celebrate UK Older People’s Day by trying something new
The purpose of the celebrations is not only to recognise the contribution that older people make to our society but also to spread the message that age is no barrier to staying active and being involved in community life.The theme for this year is ‘Do Something Different’. A variety of events will raise awareness of the benefits that physical, social and mental activities bring, by encouraging people to share skills and experiences and to try something new.
You are invited to come along, join in, bring a friend or relative and make it a week to remember. All events and activities are open to everyone, with the majority being FREE.
