Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods’ Chief Executive Off icer Honored
(Winnipeg, Manitoba – October 20, 2014) – Manitoba Harvest Hemp Foods’ Co-Founder and Chief
Executive Officer Mike Fata was crowned EY 2014 Prairies Entrepreneur of the Year at last night’s regional
gala.
Finalists from across the Prairies were judged based on their vision, leadership, innovation, financial
performance, community engagement, and personal influence. The 2014 judging panel consisted of
educators, business and community leaders, and past winners.
“This year’s pool of finalists was truly impressive and it’s humbling just to be among them,” expressed Mike
Fata. “I am deeply honored to receive such a prestigious distinction. The award is a reflection of the Manitoba
Harvest team and my support network. Without committed and skilled team members, our company would
not be what it is today.”
Manitoba Harvest has grown over 500% in the past five years and is the largest vertically integrated hemp
foods manufacturer in the world. The company is poised for continued growth having just completed a facility
expansion that nearly triples their manufacturing capacities.

Mike Fata is also selected for the National EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Special Citation recipient for
