Dependinguponthesizeofyourswimmingpoolcartridgefilter,thesepartscanbeassembledasabundleoffour(4)sanitizerelements,orastwo(2)sticksoftwo(2)elementseach.

NOTE: Youshouldfirstattempttousethebundleassembly.

Decide which Nature2 CF assembly is right for your pool filter.

1. Turnoffthepumpanddisassemblethepoolfilterasyounormallywouldtocleanthecartridge.

2. Checktoseeiftheendcapfitseasilyintothecoreofyourcartridgefilter;•if it does,gotoBundleAssembly•if it does not,gotoStickAssembly

Bundle AssemblyTheholeinthecenteroftheendcapaccommodatesacenterrodshouldyourfilterhaveone.

1. Lay an end cap on a flat surface and snap the four (4) sanitizer elements into it,sothatthetabsarepointingup.

2. Snap the other end cap on top.

Important:Besurethatthenotchoneachendcaplinesuptogethertoaccommodateanairbleedtube.

Stick Assembly

Important:UseonlyafterattemptingtheBundleAssembly.

1. Snap two (2) sanitizer elements togethersothateachtabandslotlineup.

2. Snap the end spike to one end.NOTE: Onceassembled,donotattempttoseparatethesanitizerelementsasthetabsmaybreak.

Start Up•BeforestartingupanewNature2®cartridge,cleandebrisandalgaeoutofthepoolandpoolequipment.

Important:Donotinstallthenewcartridgeuntilthepoolwateriscleanandchemicallybalanced.

Thesurfaceofyourpoolcanbecomeetched.Metalpartsinthepumpandplumbingwillcorrode.AddpHincreaser.“Scale”formsonthesurfaceofyourpool.Thewatercanbecomecloudy.Equipmentcanbecomedamaged.AddpHdecreaser.Waterislessstable.Inplasterpools,thecalciumistakenoutoftheplaster,causingthesurfacetodeteriorate.Addcalciumhardnessincreaser.Rough,discoloreddeposits(“scale”)willformonthepoolsurfaceandinsidepoolequipment.Drainordilutethepoolwater.Consultyourdealer.ItprovidesnobuffersothatyouconstantlygetfluctuatingpHreadings,whichcandamageequipmentandpoolsurfaces.Useanalkalinityincreaser.Whitedeposits(“scale”)formonthetileline.Theplasteronpoolsurfacebecomesroughordiscolored.Thewaterbecomescloudyormilkywhite.Addacidtobringalkalinitydown.

Install the Cartridge1. Install the cartridge into your pool filter after water is balanced.

2. Superoxidize the poolwaterwithchlorineaccordingtomanufacturer’sinstructionstoburnoffcontaminantsandactivatecartridge.

Important:Initialsuperoxidationwithchlorineisrequiredtoburnoffcontaminantsandactivatecartridge.

3. Run the circulating pumpeither:•24hoursadayfor4days,maintaining1-2ppmfreechlorinethroughout,or•6hoursadayfor14days,maintaining1-2ppmfreechlorinethroughout.

4. Let chlorine dissipateto0.5ppmoncestartupperiodiscompleted.•Donotenterthepoolifthefreeavailablechlorineresidualisover3ppm.
