Monsoon clouds have disappeared and the sky is clear now heralding the onset of winter. The odd semes-ter is almost over, but for the exams. This semester was historical for our
college due to various reasons. We witnessed monsoon rains with a magnitude never happened before, many natural disasters occurred, includ-ing the wash away of the roads leading to our college. We were constantly under the gun point of opening of the dam. This led to the loss of many classes. But we witnessed the unusual way with which we have beaten all these obstacles by conducting night classes and other extra classes. The cooperation of each and every faculty and staff was most invaluable so that this practice of conducting night classes has been inscribed in golden letters on the annals of our history. With the commissioning of our new hostel, academic block and quarters, we are bound for a leapfrog in our academic activities. Wish you all a very nice winter.Dr. Jayanand B
The past few weeks have been full of activities like short term training programmes, work-shops, evening classes etc. For students, eve-ning school provided an upbeat, challenging program. For teachers, evening school was an opportunity to develop and implement inno-vative strategies which stimulate learning. The odd semesters ends after the above plethora of activities, thus the GECians deserve a break. As we bring out this issue of Newsletter cover-ing all these college activities, we wish all the Students to perform equally well in the upcom-ing semester examinations.
