Fromdowntown Anchorage, you'll continue to theAlaska Wildlife Conservation Center. Here youwill view animals indigenous to Alaska in theirnatural habitat. Continue south to the historictown of Seward where you'll board Radiance ofthe Seas to begin your cruise adventure.

1 • Seward, AlaskaSeward is not only one of Alaska'soldest communities, it's also one of itsmost scenic. Visit and discover thispicturesque town known as thegateway to Kenai Fjords NationalPark. You'll find a historic downtowndistrict filled with quaint shops and artgalleries, and some of the mostexciting outdoor adventuresimaginable.
2 • Hubbard Glacier (cruising)The longest river of ice in NorthAmerica, the Hubbard Glacier is alsoone of the most active glaciers of itskind in Alaska. And since our ships aredesigned to provide our guests withthe best viewing possible, you'll beable to see this massive naturalwonder, with its 1,350 square miles ofblue ice, from just about anywhere onthe ship.
3 • Juneau, AlaskaJuneau, the capital of Alaska, wasfounded during a gold rush in 1880.Today, the former gold-mining towncounts among its riches some ofAlaska's most spectacular scenery.Nestled at the foot of Mt. Juneau in theAlaska Panhandle, it faces the waterfrom the mainland side of GastineauChannel. Several magnificent fjordsare located along the channel coast,and the majestic Mendenhall Glacier,a favorite of visitors, is nearby.
4 • Skagway, AlaskaWhen gold was discovered in theKlondike region of the Yukon Territory(just across the border from Alaska), itresulted in the historic Gold Rush of1898. As thousands of gold-crazedadventurers sought the best startingpoint for their arduous trek, they foundthe deepest penetration possible byboat was at the northern tip of theLynn Canal. This is how Skagway wasborn.
5 • Icy Strait Point, AlaskaIcy Strait Point is located near the cityof Hoonah, the largest native TlingitIndian settlement in Alaska, and verynear Glacier Bay National Park. Hometo a historic cannery, the port'sconnection to the sea is strong. Localsshare the sea with humpback whales,orcas, Dall porpoises, seals, seaotters, halibut and all five species ofPacific salmon. It is not uncommon tospot a humpback or an orca whilewalking along the shore.
6 • Ketchikan, AlaskaKetchikan originated as an Indian fishsaltery, but the town's major growthbegan when it became a supply baseand entry port for miners during the1898 Gold Rush to the Klondike. Muchof the town's colorful past is still inevidence, especially in the nearbyIndian villages, where you'll seecolorfully carved totem poles and hearthe fascinating legends that surroundthem.
