Open the gift of solitude,Receive deep peace of mind and heart.Quiet all distress, distraction, or distain, and in my loving presence remain.
In serenity of stillness,I will speak words of comfort and consolation.Let your tears flow; They needn’t come to an end,for they water the fields of compassion.
To be my compassion to the world,You must offer loving kindness to yourself.Be gentle with your words, your thoughts, and deeds, for you are precious in my eyes.
There is no joy or sorrow I do not know. The human story is my own.I will be with you each moment in life.Trust my love. In you, I abide.

Text: Tune:
Presider: All:
(last time) Presider: "Now and forever, Amen."
Your blazing bright creation eclipsed chaotic darkness. Waters which had once destroyed became your servants.
Your faithful promise took root in a chosen people and lived on through desert, tribes, judges, kings,
through days of wandering and temple, through years of comfort and exile, while prophets spoke your law and love, your covenant, your gift. Refrain
Your new covenant reached out to seek our flesh, became incarnate Good News of salvation; by teaching, healing, dying, rising, he changed the course of time.
His Spirit blows through grace-filled waters; his Spirit burns in loving hearts, strengthening us for mission, preparing for his return. Refrain

O Dios, tú eres mi Dios, por ti madrugo, mi alma está sedienta de ti;
Estribillo
Porque fuiste mi auxilio, y a la sombra de tus alas canto con júbilo;
mi alma está unida a ti, y tu diestra me sostiene, me sostiene. Estribillo
O God, you are my God, for you I long; for you my soul is thirsting.
My body pines for you like a dry, weary land without water. Refrain
So I gaze on you in the sanctuary to see your strength and your glory.
For your love is better than life, my lips will speak your praise. Refrain
So I will bless you all my life, in your name I will lift up my hands.
My soul shall be filled as with a banquet, my mouth shall praise you with joy. Refrain
For you have been my help; in the shadow of your wings I rejoice.
My soul clings to you; your right hand holds me fast, holds me fast. Refrain
Glory be to God the Father, to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now and forever. Amen. Refrain

A Prayer-Song in the Time of the COVID-19 Pandemic
Yet now I tread a diff ’rent way:Death dogs my path with stealthy steps from day to day.I cannot find your peaceful placeBut dwell in dreary darkness longing for your face. Refrain I will look back in days to comeAnd realize your faithfulness has led me home.Within your house I’ll find my peaceTrusting in your mercy you have sheltered me. Refrain
Shepherd and sheep, my God and I:To fresh green fields you led my steps in days gone by.You gave me rest by quiet springsAnd filled my soul with peace your loving presence brings. Refrain

Lector: The word of the Lord.Assembly: Thanks be to God.
Brothers and sisters, rejoice.Mend your ways, encourage one another, agree with one another, live in peace, and the
God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the holy ones greet you.

Christ our Light, illuminate every path that leads to you.Give us grace, Lord, guide our way: Love, burn bright. In you light, Lord, every day, every way, we follow you.Grant us peace to journey through: Love, burn bright.
From the shadows of the night, to your holiness and light: May your love burn bright within our heart.
From the hated born of fear, to your love that holds us near: May your love burn bright within our heart.
In our words that tear apart, place a reconciling heart: May your love burn bright within our heart.
In our wounds of war and strife, place your promise of new life: May your love burn bright within our heart.
Where there’s doubt, uncertainty, let us witness faithfully: May your love burn bright within our heart.
Where there’s sadness, poverty, let us reach out willingly: May your love burn bright within our heart.
