CONSTRUCTION CAREER PROGRAM
For the chapters to use for career development of their members AND for their community

JOINT INDUSTRY EVENT TIPS
• Reach out to organizations with a large membership
• Choose the time wisely• Summer time event• WIC Week event• Different time of day than typical
• Decide which organization is handling the money – registration and payment to venue
• Have a NAWIC table with event calendar and membership information
• Make sure to get a list of attendees and email if other org handles registration
• Share events on each other’s pages
MUNICIPAL/LOCAL GROUPS
• Sponsor a WBE/MBE outreach or education event
• Invite compliance/outreach coordinators to speak at monthly meetings
• Assist with job-specific outreach events
• Allow municipalities to post events to chapter’s site for reciprocity
• Use social media and traditional media to document partnership
