Applications are invited from Indian Nationals through registered/speed posts to the following vacant posts on regular basis:-

Note: Pay scales and other service conditions for the above posts wherever applicable will be governed as per Punjab Government’s notification No.7/204/2012-4FP1/60 dated 15.1.2015 and circular No.7/204/2012-4FP1/66 dated 15.1.2015 and any other instructions issued by Punjab Government from time to time in this regard.

1) Scientist SD (Geoinformatics) Essential: i) Ph.D in the subject Geo-Informatics/Remote Sensing &Geographic Information System (GIS) with

good knowledge of related computer/IT applications Or 1st Class ME/M.Tech./M.Sc. or equivalent Post Graduate in Geo-Informatics/Remote Sensing & Geographic Information System (GIS)/Computer Science/Information Technology with four years experience in the application of Geospatial technology from Government/Semi-Government/ Private/academic organizations.

ii) Punjabi upto Matric level. If not the appointee will have to pass Punjabi upto Matric level within one year.

Desirable: i) The incumbent should have proven record of past work so as to ascertain his credentials to lead the

team of Geo-Informatics professionals of the centre and to develop overall framework of the division.

ii) Training/Experience in using Remote Sensing and GIS technique in Geo-informatics/ Geospatial as

evident from publications/certificates/testimonials will be added advantage. 2) Asstt. Programmer First Class B.E./B.Tech./MCA/M.Sc. in Information Technology (IT)/Electronics & Communication (EC)/Computer Science (CS)/Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Must have passed Punjabi language examination upto Matric or its equivalent level OR must pass within one year as per rule.

Desirable: Proficiency in Programming languages (.Net/ASP/VB/C/C++/C#/Python, RDBMS, Operating System (UNIX/Linux/Windows), Web Technologies, Information & Communication Technology (ICT), Mobile/Desktop/Web based Application Development and e-Governance Age: 18-37 years as on 1.1.2017 Age relaxation* Note: Scheduled Castes/ : Five years over and above the normal

Backward Classes recruitment age Physically handicapped person : 10 years over and above the normal age Ex-servicemen : As per Punjab Govt. instructions

*Relaxation in age shall be considered only for the candidates who will submit the required certificate issued by the competent authority and acceptable as per Punjab Govt. norms. Other conditions: i) Based on the bio-data, screening will be conducted to short-list candidates for interview, written/practical test as may required and applicable. ii) If any information furnished is found to be wrong or false, candidature of the candidate will be cancelled at any time as and when it comes to the notice. iii) The Centre reserves the right not to fill up the post, if it decides so. iv) Apply through proper channel if already employed or produce “No Objection Certificate” from present employer at the time of interview. The filled in application forms complete in all respects alongwith certificates testimonials and supporting documents in response to qualifications and experience and non refundable application fee of Rs.1,000/- for the post of Scientist SD and Rs.600/- for the post of Assistant Programmer by cash receipt or Demand Draft (in favour of Director, Punjab Remote Sensing Centre payable at Ludhiana) must be submitted in the office of Punjab Remote Sensing Centre (PRSC), PAU Campus Ludhiana-141 004 on or before the last date of receipt of applications. Candidates are advised to visit PRSC website for any updates/information or change of interview in special circumstances as may be arising. PRSC reserve the right to fill or not to fill or increase the above position. In all cases decision of Director, PRSC will be final and binding. The duly filled in application alongwith other documents should to reach the office of the Director, PRSC latest by 8th January, 2018 otherwise the application will be rejected. Appointment to these posts shall be governed by the Terms & Conditions at the time of joining. Any kind of postal delays will not be the responsibility of this office.
